EVENTURI Air Intake System For Porsche 911 GT3 RS 991.1 and 991.2.

Performance Gain : 8-11hp, 8-10ft-lb

Flow Bench Data: Stock Intake 905 CFM : Eventuri Intake 1025 CFM

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS intake has been designed to offer a more efficient flow path to the engine in comparison to the OEM airbox. Utilising our Patented Venturi Housing concept, airflow is able to negotiate through the filters with a much less tortuous path thus reducing the drag of the system. Furthermore by increasing the overall volume in the intake, the maximum flow capacity has also been increased. Using bespoke filters with an outer diameter of 192mm or 7.5″ boasting a filtration surface area of over 110,000mm^2 each, we have made maximum use of the available space. Intake air temperatures have also been minimised by ensuring a sealed system as well as using carbon fiber which has a low thermal conductivity coefficient across the wall thickness. The resulting system provides genuine performance gains and a noticeable improvement in throttle response.

The Eventuri Difference

The 911 GT3 RS Eventuri system uses our Patented Carbon fiber Housings which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the engine. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi affect.

The Eventuri 911 GT3 RS intake system consists of a number of components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards. We use 100% pre-preg carbon fiber with no fibreglass which means we can achieve a smooth internal surface to maintain smoother airflow. Here are the details for each component and the design ethos behind them:

Each intake system consists of:

  • Carbon Fiber Double Venturi Filter Housing
  • Bespoke High Flow Dry Cone Filters
  • Carbon Fiber Inlet Ducts
  • Silicon Coupler Internally Stepped
  • Laser Cut Stainless Steel Brackets

PATENTED FILTER HOUSING

The 911 GT3 RS Filter Housing comprises of 2 bespoke high flow filters, aluminium cowls, laser cut brackets and the carbon pod itself. The carbon pod shrouds the reverse mounted filters and smoothly shapes the airflow down to the throttle body. This smooth reduction in cross sectional area invokes the Venturi effect where the airflow accelerates whilst maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack - below is a diagram to show the comparison between our patented design and a regular intake system.

BESPOKE CONE FILTER

In order to achieve the highest flow rate possible we designed a filter element to make as much use of the space available in the engine bay as possible. This new filter has an outside diameter of 192mm or 7.6" and when flow tested with a housing using a 4" opening is able to flow up to 900 CFM at 28" H2O. The filter medium is ISO tested to ensure that filtration is in line with OEM standards and is also dry. The filter is constructed with our signature flow cones to aid in the Venturi housing principle.

CARBON DUCTS

The ducts channels ambient air from the side vents to the filter housing. In order to ensure a good seal against engine bay heat - they are secured to the filter housing at 3 points and use a neoprene gasket for an airtight seal . The ducts were designed to have the maximum internal volume possible within the given geometry of the engine bay. This ensures that the filter housing is able to draw with minimum restriction.

SILICON COUPLER

Our silicon coupler replaces the stock flexible tube to the throttle body. It matches the OEM throttle body with an internal step to ensure smooth flow.

The complete system comes together to provide an intake which improves on the stock airbox in performance, aesthetics and sound.........

Eventuri was founded by a team of engineers and enthusiasts with a background in Aeronautics and tuning – all sharing a passion for cars and performance. After owning various intakes over many years for our own cars and being disappointed with the gains which seldom lived up to their claims – we decided to take things into our own hands and rewrite the book. Eventuri set a new benchmark in intake design and technology, above all – to engineer systems which provide real gains and then to publish genuine figures.

Eventuri intake systems are extensively developed using cutting edge design, testing and prototyping methods. With a focus on performance, each design undergoes CFD analysis and is then validated at the prototype stage through volumetric airflow, intake temperature and extensive dynamometer testing. Eventuri strive to publish all the development information to illustrate the depths we go to in bringing an intake from concept to reality.

Only the best materials are selected for each component – even down to the choice of fasteners and fixings in order to ensure that the quality of the end product is second to none.
